In addition to AHPRA registration, Chaminga also holds registration as a Chartered Counseling Psychologist with the British Psychological Society as well as registration with the Sri Lankan Medical Council as a Clinical Psychologist.
She is registered with Medicare, WorkCover, and VictimsAssist as a provider for Psychology items and also provides assistance for NDIS clients.

Chaminga completed her Master of Social Sciences with Honors in Psychology in 2002, and previously her Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honors in Psychology, her Bachelor of Sciences in Human Biology at the University of Waikato in New Zealand in 2002. She completed a Post Graduate Diploma of Psychotherapy in Australia in 2007. Since then, she has worked across various mental health settings in Australia, New
Zealand, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom.
Traversing cultures, cities and countries, Chaminga has come to value diversity, flexibility, and self-understanding in her professional and personal life. She was born in New Zealand and migrated to Australia to pursue her professional practice. Her multi-cultural life and work experience enhances her eclectic, client-centered approach to therapy. ​
Chaminga specialises in a variety of evidence-based and best practice therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to best meet the needs of her clients and their families.Â
​Chaminga helps create lasting and meaningful changes to her clients lives. She is a psychologist and couples therapist who uses a gentle, client-centered therapeutic approach. She supports adults, adolescents, children, couples, families and groups in dealing with issues relating to depression, anxiety, stress, anger, self esteem, confidence, marriage, relationship and family problems, behavioural and adjustment issues, grief and loss, abuse, trauma, and the general range of life and workplace issues.
