Liz is a Clinical Psychologist and the assessment team leader at Wellbeing in Mind.
In addition, she currently works as a senior psychologist in a Queensland Health Perinatal Wellbeing Team. This is a clinician/researcher role focussed on expanding research and practice in the area of birthing parents' neurodivergence in the perinatal period.
Liz has a special interest in neurodevelopmental assessments and is trained in a range of neuropsychological tools to support assessments across the life-course. She has substantial experience with many different presentations, including: Autism, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulties, cognitive and executive function difficulties, and general childhood development (e.g., Global Developmental Delay).
Liz is passionate about providing a neuroaffirming approach to assessment and treatment, and she fosters this passion through ongoing professional development and training in this space. Her practice is informed by the social model of disability, which attributes disability to a ‘misfit’ between the person and their environment rather than deficits within the person.
