Laura Jellins

Laura s a clinical neuropsychologist, board-approved psychology supervisor, qualified teacher and Churchill Fellow with over 15 years’ experience working with children and young people.

 

In her clinical practice, Laura’s roles have focused on conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments, predominately for children with neurodevelopmental/neuropsychological and social-emotional difficulties, and providing psychological interventions to them and their families. Over her career, Laura has worked across urban, rural and remote regions in the ACT, NSW, WA, the NT and now QLD. Her workplaces have ranged from school settings to university, hospital and community settings, as well as the not-for-profit sector including Indigenous Health. Following her Churchill Fellowship, she was invited to present at conferences both locally and overseas, and author a chapter for the Handbook of Australian School Psychology.

 

Laura is currently working in a part-time capacity as a clinical consultant for the Child Development Clinic at Griffith University Logan Campus and supervises students in the clinical psychology program. As an ARICD tutor, she also co-facilitates workshops training allied health professionals and paediatricians to become registered users of the Griffiths-III developmental assessment. Laura has a passion for attachment-based parenting and individualised care that is integrative and holistic in nature.
