Renata has a special interest in modern integrated psychodynamic approaches, person-centred therapy, and attachment-informed therapy. She is bilingual, offering treatment in both English and Russian and provides culturally sensitive counselling to Russian-speaking clients. Renata holds a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology. She has completed extensive professional training in psychoanalytical theory and practice, emotionally focused therapy, psychiatry for counsellors, suicide prevention, domestic violence response, and object relations theory.

Renata is interested in working with individuals living with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), and other personality disorders. She is also passionate about helping clients establish healthy and prosperous relationships with themselves, others, and the world. Renata can assist clients through identity and life changes, adjustment difficulties, childhood problems, and trauma.

In her practice, Renata prioritises establishing a secure and supportive environment for clients to delve into their concerns and foster a therapeutic alliance founded on trust and safety. She emphasises exploring past experiences, early childhood relationships, and unconscious thoughts and feelings to gain insight into the underlying motivations, fears and desires that drive a client's behaviour and emotions. This understanding can then be used to help the client resolve psychological distress and improve their overall well-being.

Renata has experience working with clients with diverse mental health presentations at Belmont Private Hospital and clients struggling with various addiction problems at Drug ARM. She values forming reliable and trusting relationships with her clients and uses psychodynamic therapy, person-centred therapy, and attachment-informed therapy to support their recovery journey.

Renata is an active member of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP) and contributes to Australian and Russian Chapters via reading groups. She is committed to her own personal and professional development and regularly participates in both group and individual therapy.
