Adam takes a collaborative and evidence-based approach to treatment, working with you to understand your concerns in order to promote your own personal resources. He has experience in the use of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients across the life-span cope with stressors and progress toward a meaningful life.

 

Adam has gained experience providing assessments for children referred for behavioural, emotional, cognitive, and developmental issues. He has been trained in the use and interpretation of various tools for psychological and behavioural assessment to support diagnostic queries and guide intervention.

 

In combination with his clinical work, Adam recently completed the Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology program at Griffith University. His PhD investigated the effect of mastery and physical activity on psychological distress in middle-aged adults. His engagement in academia compliments his application of evidence-based approaches to his clinical practice.
