Assessment Fees

The cost for assessments vary based on requirements. Call or email us for a quote.

Children

All of our assessment options start with a parent-only intake session. In this session, the clinician will ask you questions around your child's abilities, challenges, and developmental history, and ask you to complete some questionnaires. This session will allow you to learn more about the assessment procedure, and ensure that we tailor the assessment sessions specifically to your child's individual needs.

Your child will then come in for their assessment sessions with the psychologist. The number and length of your child assessment sessions required will depend on the purpose of the assessment (e.g. autism, ADHD, cognitive or neuropsychological testing).

We also include a parent-only feedback session at the end of all diagnostic / cognitive / neuropsychological assessments. In this session, the clinician will provide you with a copy of the written report and talk you through the assessment results and recommendations. You will also be able to ask questions.

If you are worried that your child has a neurodevelopmental disorder, we suggest families start by visiting their GP to talk through the service options. We also offer a single-session developmental Initial Screener to start you on the right track if you are unsure.  The cost of this session is $250 for a 60 min session.

Families who are referred for an autism or neurodevelopmental assessment service by a paediatrician or psychiatrist can access Medicare rebates. A  rebate of $96.65 per session is available for up to four (4) diagnostic or assessment sessions and can all be used on the same day if required. This is only applicable to children, adolescents and young adults up to age 25.

Adults

All of our assessment options start with a intake session. In this session, the clinician will ask you questions around your abilities, challenges, and  history, and ask you to complete some questionnaires.  It is sometimes helpful for us to also obtain information from a close family member (e.g. partner, parent or adult child) or friend, and you may be asked to bring someone with you who can provide us with additional information.

You will then come in for the assessment sessions with the psychologist. The number and length of the assessment sessions required will depend on the purpose of the assessment.

We also include a feedback session at the end of all diagnostic / cognitive / neuropsychological assessments. In this session, the clinician will provide you with a copy of the written report and talk you through the assessment results and recommendations. You will also be able to ask questions.
